Watch the birdy

Recently, I have been truly grateful for my twenty minutes of craftiness a day. Work has been very stressful, so it's been lovely to escape my troubles by getting out my hook, wooden spoon or felt tips (I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I have bought my own pack, which Little People have been banned from using, they have their own!).
This week, I decided to take a (short) break from my granny squares and do something else. I went over to Attic 24 and was inspired by this cute little bird tutorial. I sort of followed it, and I'm almost there. I couldn't figure out the instructions for the beak or wings, so I made up my own version. I'm planning to stuff my birdy with lavender, I have my eye on some from Provence. I'll post a picture of him again when he's finished. In the meantime, here's his better side!

  1. Cute little birdie! I recognised it straight away as an Attic 24 project having made a few before Christmas - I even made a couple of robins. Lucy is so clever isn't she?
Love the colour of your bird and what a good idea to put lavender inside - perfect! Michelle x

  2. Thanks so much for identifying my flowers - I'm hopeless! The purple ones are my favourites too - they are so gorgeous. Take care. Michelle x

  3. Hi, I'm just popping round to the other members of the 20 minuters to give them the opportunity to join in the Gift draw in our blog shop. It is partly down to the encouragement of MarmaladeRose that I am still really enjoying doing my 20 minutes of crafting every day and this is stocking the shelves in our shop. I hope you will pop over and join in the fun. The draw will be made on Mon 22nd Feb so this is the last week. If you choose to join in Good Luck. :-)
    Many thanks,
    A x
